Andries Petrus Human

Declared Missing - 04 May 1978

At the SAMVOA meeting of the West Australia Region, on Monday evening, 11 August 2008 the Commemorative Card as well as the limited, signed edition of "Eagle Strike" by Col Jan Breytenbach, was presented to Rachel Human and her daughter, Eugenie in memory of their husband and father, Rfn Andries Petrus Human who was "Declared Missing - Presumed Killed" during the airborne assault on the SWAPO Central Headquarters at Cassinga on 04 May 1978.

Rachel extends her sincere appreciation to all those that made this presentation possible and in so doing, continuing to honour the memory of her late husband Andries, who made the supreme sacrifice thirty years ago.

She was particularly touched by the Commemorative card, her words being "Who made that beautiful card "In memory of Andries Human", that touched my heart."

On behalf of SAMVOA, I wish to express our sincere thanks for allowing us the privilege of performing this presentation on behalf of the Parabats in South Africa and wherever else they may be in the world. Ex Alto Vincimuse.
