ANZAC Day Parade
On ANZAC Day each year, Australia honours and remembers all her veterans who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. The spirit of ANZAC continues to have meaning and relevance for the Australian sense of national identity. It is an honour for SAMVOA veterans to partake in the ANZAC Day ceremony, and to contribute to the ANZAC spirit of courage, mateship, and sacrifice.
Because of the prestige of the ceremony,
the SAMVOA Veterans medal is awarded to all SAMVOA veterans who complete their first ANZAC Day parade. Additionally, a Ribbon bar, or Clasp, will be awarded for every five years of participation thereafter.
