___
It was a very special day where we honoured the memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice during the Boer War of 1899 – 1902 and that we were allowed the opportunity to lay a wreath on behalf of the Boer men, women and children that died during the conflict and in the spirit of reconciliation.
___
I think this was the first time that a wreath was laid on behalf of the Boers in Australia and we are mindful and appreciative of being allowed to do so through the National Boer War Memorial Association.
___
We trust that it will become an annual event and that it will spread out to the other States in the Commonwealth.
